Embark on a scientific odyssey with The Gravity Initiative. Our mission is to ignite curiosity, inspire discovery, and engage minds in the wonders of theoretical physics.
Who are we?
Our Goal
The gravity initiative is a society founded by theoretical physics PhD students at DAMTP, University of Cambridge. The purpose of the society is two fold. On one hand, we wish to connect young researchers, locally or globally, in the field of high energy physics and general relativity. Our main focus include topics in classical and quantum gravity. On the other hand, we also hope to make our field more accessible and interesting to the general public.
Dive into the exciting world of theoretical physics with us. From cutting-edge research to engaging outreach programs, we strive to make the wonders of the cosmos accessible to all. Join us on our quest to make science both captivating and enlightening for everyone.
What do we do?
Research
Exploring the Unknown
We organize seminar series where students or early career post-docs are invited to present either their own research or topics they are interested in.
Education
Empowering Minds
Members of the gravity initiative will post articles targeting a wider audience on on-going research topics. (To appear soon...)
